Donkey Kong side art position...

The flyer for DK shows the side art with the center of the donkey kong letters even with the lower marquee bracket.
That is how I placed mine.
Here is a pic of the flyer.

i believe its 2'' 3/4 from the top then center it! thats what i did and looks great!

You working on one of these for your collection? I've gotta check out your place to see where you store all of these!

That was a little too high for me but gamey should put it where he likes it.
The original position is lower than 2 3/4" though.
Just tape it up in both spots till you find one you like then go with it.

I was wondering the same thing! I still need to put the new sideart on my DK, but have been putting it off.

This is how i did mine 5 1/8 from the top. i like the way it looks. i think the 2 3/4 is to high.

I actually traced around what was left of the original artwork on mine before I removed it, but haven't measured where the top is. Guess I should do that.......

Such a pain to have to pull the monitor and remove the bolts to put on the side art, then reassemble it all. That's why I still haven't done mine. Nintendo should have just counter set the bolt heads.....

from my understanding you don'nt have too remove the Monitor too do the sideart?

You put the game on the side your doing the art on and then remove the bolts and the monitor should go anywhere?

is this true?

Hell... you don't even have to put the game on it's side. Remove bolts from one side... taking care with the last bolt as the monitor will "sag" slightly inside... apply side art... re-install bolts... then repeat on the other side.

BTW - DK side art isn't a science... it wasn't applied IDENTICALLY for each and every cabinet. Some dude/chick had the job of applying it... not a robot... it was put in a general area that likely varied a bit. Stick it where you think it looks good.

I just pulled the bolts on one side and put them in from the inside just enough to hold the monitor.
I then cut x holes in side art and put the bolts back.
