I recently tested a DK board in my cab and once I replaced the original I had in there I experenced a problem I see alot of on the forums, a section of the screen jumps up ever so slightly when certain sprites move over this section of the screen. I have read through alot of the other topics about this with no real answer to what fixes it, or what causes it. Heres what I can tell you about my situation, the monitor has been capped including the sound board, and the pots on the adjustment board were also replaced. The one thing I havent done is check the B+ voltage. I understand how to check it, but I am unsure if my leads are plugged into the right sockets in my meter so I figured I would post a pic before I checked it to avoid any thing I might damage if they were wrong.

Its a bit blurry, but I think you can see enough to say if its wrong or not.

The last thing about my machine that could also be the source of this problem is that there is no ground prong on the cord I plug into the power strip. I capped the monitor, so I should have the skills to replace the plug right? I could cut the cord and replace the plug and not the entire cord right?

The problem isn't a huge deal and I can live with it, but if there is something simple I can do to make it perfect then I will give it a shot.

Thanks as always for all the help

Mine does it too. Especially on the rivet level. I didnt think it was a huge problem, but if theres a fix, id be willing to try it.

I have the exact same problem, that I sorta detailed in this thread, in which I also have a youtube video linked of the problem. I tried to change the title of the thread after I uploaded the video so it would show up in a search, but this forum software doesn't allow you to do that- unlike some other boards I'm a member of.

I was told that it is also a power issue, and I have plans to order a bunch of caps very soon. I am going to recap the original entire power supply, and replace the c606 cap on the monitor like Dokert suggested. I should have the extra money in a week or two, and try fixing it then. I will immediately update my progress in a new thread to see if this fixes my problem.

What's wierd, is that when it starts doing this, I can slightly adjust the problem away for a while if I adjust the h and v pots on the PCB. Anyway check out the video I have linked in that thread to see if the problem is similar to any of yours.

Although it's a minor glitch it drives me bonkers.

Gonzo, you meter's leads are in the correct position the other position is for testing current in series. Set your meter to DC volts and test away.

Thought so, thanks for confirming Greg.

I am having the same issue as you but in an upright mhanlen.
