So I have a cocktail and UR donkey Kong in different states of being. I will be selling one of them and keeping one but my dilemma is what to keep. Im not a huge DK fan but would like one in my collection for friends etc. I would rather sell the more sought after for a little more $ towards other projects and keep the latter. What is the consensus on CT vs UR?

Keep the upright. Nobody remembers the cocktail...except Pookdolie and his friends.

If you're looking to sell the one that's worth more, the upright will probably be in higher demand than the cocktail. Sadly, the cocktail is probably worth more in parts than as an intact system.

Everyone I know in my age group remembers the cocktail. They don't remember the upright at all.

They didn't spend any time in arcades BIID, but they frequented restaurants and bars. All of them remember playing on the cocktail. When I owned a UR, they said they'd played Donkey Kong plenty of times, but never on a UR. The cocktail was everywhere.

That being said, I totally agree with everyone else: dump the cocktail, and never look back. The UR is much better.
