I know. I'm still in progress on the other projects. While paint dries, I need something to do...

I picked up a Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Junior for next to nothing. They are pretty beat up. I"m going to take my time and enjoy fixing these guys up.

First thing I found on the Donkey Kong that bugged me was the marquee base. The formica or laminate was coming off and the wood was in bad shape. I rebuild the wooden piece and added a black formica cover. The sticker was completely destroyed.

I found a sticker pdf file online and printed it out on vinyl. The file was not very good. Low resolution and not very black.

I decided to recreate the sticker artwork in vector format so I could get a better printed version. This is my artwork so far.

This was my control panel print test for color.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I am just curious as to why are you putting so much effort in to artwork that is easily attainable in reproduction form and for relatively cheap? The reproduction artwork that is available is screen printed just like the original artwork and will most likely last forever in home use. This is very difficult to replicate with inkjet printers.

Formica. I'm not sure where to buy it. We already has some here at my work.

Stickers/Vinyls/Graphics. I've bought a couple things online and they are not exact in color although the process is the same as the original. Vinyl printing and screen printing my own stuff is free. Trying to keep this potentially expensive hobby as cheap as possible.
