What is the price range for a DK in ok shape, no side art?
It has a DK highscore kit with 4 extra levels (DK II).

Yea know..

You know your going to get the typical "its worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it"...

But in todays market I would say $400-500 seems fair for a DK with the extra levels and such..of course, you didn't post any picks so its hard to say based on condition...and my "guesstimate" might be high...

DK's are weird..I have seen really nice ones go for as little as $400 and really crappy ones go for $50 more than that...I guess it just depends on who is looking for a DK at the time and what they are willing to pay..

Good Luck with your sale!!!

I paid $400 for the first one I bought years ago. Since I've bought 4 more. A very nice fully working original one for $150. One in ok physical condition as nonworking for $100. turned out the PS was dead but all else worked. Got 2 in beat condition but complete for $50 each. One of these had a board issue. The other worked 100%. Kept the first one I bought, sold the $150 for $800 and kept the others to convert to other nintendo titles. The range can be all over the place with a game where a ton were made and it's very popular. The fact that so many were made of a title like DK means that if you wait long enough you will likely find a deal. The fact that the game was one of the most popular arcade titles ever made means there is usually someone out there willing to pay top dollar for the game. Really depends on condition and how bad you want it. I love the game so it's a must have for me and I have no regrets paying $400 for the first one I bought.

i just sold a fairly clean one, working, missing sideart for 500.00

DK price cheek

I would say $400- $600

I have seen them go for $1500 in prefect shape

Price guide says between 400 and 800. I would say its on the high end of that with the DK2 kit, but also consider the economy and decline in prices. Side art is pretty cheap for this game (apparently). I just paid $260 for one (without the kit obviously, but in fantastic shape) and it only needed about $15 in parts, that was probably a bargain.

dk

welovethe80's, you did get a steal of a price on that, i paid $450 from a klover here in kc and mine was in terrible shape, no back door, bad control panel, coin door f-ed up with one side missing, cab in poor shape. I was a newbie who'd watched king of kong and got the fever, devinately a lesson learned. My second dk score was a dk converted to dr mario with a great cab. Got it for $50. turned it back to dk for about $280 more plus sold the mario stuff for $125 Total invested=$205 for a nice dk. Just wanted to throw out 2 scenarios from me.

Got this one in MA yesterday for $300.

Needs a cap kit and new joystick/buttons/T-molding, but otherwise in great working shape with side art and back.
