Donkey Kong Part

Bumping your thread. I really don't know about that part though. Hopefully some one will!

I believe he is talking about the part attached to the bottom of the bezel.
It is used to lift the bezel out of the groove to remove it.
It is not easy to find but you might get lucky if you post in the WTB section.
This is the part.

Would it be easier to buy a used bezel that is in bad shape with the part on it and remove it? Bezel's seem to be in plentiful supply.

That is an option but I think there are some guys here that might have the part and it would be a lot cheaper.
Shipping a large bezel is not near as cheap as just the part.
Those pieces can be a bitch to remove sometimes.

Hey timberterror I replied to your PM. Thought I would post anyway. The part that is circled on the picture is the part that I need. Thank you everyone for your help.

Did you find the piece?

I have to look but I might have one (not sure on condition) off of the bezel of the DK cab I'm restoring.

timberterror said he may have one too. Have not heard back form him yet. Condition does not matter to much. Unless its all rust. Thanks

I apologize for putting this thread in the wrong section. Im new here and did not realize there is a trading post section for selling/wanted ads. My bad. But keep the comments coming lol.

Audiomidman I contacted Mike at mikesarcade.com. He said that these are not needed because the remanufactured bezels don't fit in the bottom marquee bracket. The thing is there still seems to be a bunch of org. marquees out there. Without this bracket my marquee does not work. The person who had this before me had it screwed into the cabinet and it looked horrible. I'm trying to keep this thing as orig as possible and also don't want to spring for a new marquee. So I want this part pretty bad.

Well it might not be original, but have you tried one of the extruded plastic pieces commonly found on pinball backglasses? The are readily available and can be cut easily to size. I did this with my repro space invaders bezel because the original was too messed up to deal with.

It looks like timberterror has the part. I have had such a good response to this I'm going to post a thread tomorrow with a list of the other parts I need. Thanks again.
