Looking at the attached picture, do you think I have a board issue or a monitor issue? I've adjusted everything the best I can and I still have the right side of the screen cut off, although there is plenty of physical monitor space remaining on that side. I've tried the H and V adjustments on the board as well as the adjustment pots on the monitor. Would a cap kit fix this .. or? It's the Sanyo 20EZ monitor and the 2-board DK pcb.

there are two pots on the PCB have you adjusted them.

if this monitor has not had a cap kit i highly recommend you do one.

i sell HQ cap kits with the audio board and B+ pot if you need one.

I have adjusted the pcb pots yes. They work, but the picture is still cut off even as it moves left and right.

It hasn't been capped to my knowledge. I'm assuming it won't hurt to do that.. But do you think it would fix the horizontal issue?

and i am guessing you have adjusted the H-Position on the remote board on the chassis.

also make sure the pot is not broke on the remote board.

there is also a jumper by the width and linearity coil see if it is there and remove it if it is.

yes a cap kit is Highly Recommended on a sanyo.

give them fresh caps and they will last and look better for years to come.

You have two issues, one the monitor needs a capkit, that's why the side is cutting off. Two, your board has a problem too, that's why your colors are messed up on the bottom.

Thanks for the help so far all. I'm not sure if the color is an issue -- it doesn't look like that in reality. I think the camera picked up something odd. It is all white on the game.

What does the jumper by the width coil do? I'll be checking it this afternoon to see if it is there or not.

Yes, I have adjusted both the pots on the game pcb. They work, but the picture is still cut off even as the whole picture moves left and right (if that makes sense).

Definately, it's a really classic sanyo problem, one side of the screen collapses into a line. You can't really see the line on donkey kong, though.

I replaced the pcb with another working one and the problem went away. Strange.. The monitor could still use a cap kit, so I'm going to put that on my list of things to do. thanks all!
