Is this vertical collapse? I now know yes.
The fix? Still looking.

Sanyo EZV

yes sir, i do believe so, or horizontal collapse, either way, its a collapse.

Looking at the pic, you may have extreme foldover which is causing your collapse. Do a cap kit first and test it again.

Monitor appears to be a standard Sanyo 20EZV from the pic.

My cap

Cap kit comes minus 9 caps.. why? so I get the other 9 caps changed.
Still vertical collapse.
The only cap I did not change was 470uf/160v.
Thats the big filter cap? What does it filter?

Any way, take a look at what it looked like removed... the ESR meter shows bad.

Is this cap in the vertical circuit and can cause the problem?
I tested the two transistors and I think they are good.

That's C606, the B+ filter cap. That's the main power supply filter for the monitor. If it fails, your B+ voltage will be unstable and affect everything in the monitor.

My rig.....since the solder holes don't line up on the borrowed cap.
Have not fired it up yet. Will in the AM.
