Hi guys. This may be a really stupid question.. but I am still a beginner at all of this.

I have a working (most of the time!) Pole Position II cabinet. But my monitor started going bad a while back (colors off, needs cap kit, etc). Right now I have no extra money for this hobby, but would love to get the cabinet back up to speed.

I also have an extra monitor for a Nintendo cabinet. I believe it is the standard Sanyo EZ type. I bought it for a Donkey Kong restoration that never happened.

So my question is, would it be possible to make this monitor work as a replacement in my Pole Position cab? This monitor has the little converter thing on it that will allow it to work with non-Nintendo games (the whole reverse image thing?.. sorry again.. still learning all this stuff).

Just trying to see if there is a way to get my Pole Position running nicely again without spending any money. And please forgive me if this is the dumbest idea ever.

Thanks!

Honestly if your PP monitor only needs a cap kit I think you will find it to be a lot less effort and possibly money to just cap the monitor rather than try to get the 20ez to work in there. I'm pretty sure your PP runs off 110-120v ac and the sanyo runs off 100v ac so you would need to put a different iso in your PP for that to work correctly. then you have to find the connector that connects to the sanyo for the R,G,B sync, gnd ect. It's not your standard connector so you might not have the parts on hand and would have to buy them. I think the $8-12 plus shipping would be cheaper in the end.
