For some reason my DK cabinet has had the wood support at the back removed. Could someone that owns this cabinet please tell me the size and thickness of the shelf and the two smaller strips that join it to the cabinet.

I've attached someone elses picture showing what part I mean.

That's missing on mine too, maybe common to remove it to get the monitor out?

This might help. If your cabinet had it removed, you should be able to see the outline. Thickness of the wood is 15mm but it doesn't matter much since it is inside the cabinet. I'll try to measure when I get home.

You do not need to remove the shelf to remove the monitor. Removing it makes it significantly more difficult. Why someone removed it is beyond me. Only thing I can think of is someone busted it because they were being a lummox.

Same lummox must have been moving mine and @Ace20's!

That piece is probably 5-1/2" or so X whatever the iside cab dimensions are. I wouldn't get to particular about it. It does help support the monitor when removing it. No idea why someone would remove it.

Keep in mind that not all cabinets are going to be exactly the same measurements. There were different factories across the globe making these and different "styles" of cabs exist even though they are generally the same.
