I have a Donkey Kong Jr machine and I just purchased a Donkey Kong 3 PCB that I'd like to install in it. Based on some quick research, it looks like I'm in need of an edge connector adapter. The DK Jr board is hooked up with all the wires plugged into individual ports on the board, but it does have an empty edge connector on the top edge of the board as well. The DK3 board only has the edge connector, no individual ports.

So I figure I need to purchase an edge connector adapter, plug the wires into that, and then I can easily slip that adapter onto either DK Jr or DK3 to switch the games back and forth like giant game cartridges. Is that right?

I've never swapped a PCB before, so I want to make sure I'm understanding everything correctly before I dive in. If all that is correct, where can I get an edge connector adapter? Is that an old Nintendo part or something that is made now by a third party?

i dont know where to get an adapter, i have heard of them but never saw one, I rewired my cab to edge connector using a molex connector, took a half hour and i have the schematics i can scan if you would like, very easy to swap between games now and dk3 works great

That sounds great, I'd love to see it.

Does that mean that edge connector adapters were never actually sold? I suppose I'm down with making one myself if there are some plans available.
