Donkey Kong Jr Cocktail/Phoenix Cocktail/ 4 Players Pong Table

Via Craigslist yesterday. I had snagged Donkey Kong Jr Cocktail/Phoenix Cocktail/ 4 Player Pong Table in GREAT Condition.

Pong... It has Octagon shaped table. I had powered on and It WORKS!!!. Of course.. It has green montior but it works. I will need to upper fix on that one.. put some touches on that and fix some CP. The Power Plug Cable is damaged good. It works until I noticed there is a fire on the Power Plug Cable so I had to shut down the system and needed to replace. Plan to check Hardware store sometime soon. After I finish fix it. I do not want it in my garage. I am not sure what s the real price here on that old system.

Looks exactly like this but CP is on the sides instead of top side.

Possible a keeper:

Phoenix... It has like 13 inch monitor and Boards being apart. I will need to see if this is complete system. I would put this aside and hold. I wanted to focus on Donkey Kong Jr Cocktail.

Exactly like this http://www.frostbitephallz.org/e107_images/newspost_images/phoenix-cocktail.jpg but has no instruction on the both sides but CP and everything are exactly same.

A KEEPER FOR SURE

DKjr... It looks complete and noticed there is some wiring issue with CP whcih I would figure that out later on. What is the issue here. I dont know. I plugged in then to turn power switch on and Monitor doesnt come out on at all. When I leave it be for good few minutes and hoped it would warmed up!. It doesnt come out anything. I decide to turn it off and noticed the Monitor screen light turns it off. I had power on and then off. It does has the power inside monitor but no screen. I can feel this will work but somewhere need to be plugged correctly.

Boards and everything looks hooked up allright and not sure if it s hooked up thos..

It looks exactly like this http://mikesstuff4sale.com/prodimages/large/DKJr.jpg. Has the Label instruction on sides.

Will post some actual pictures later on tonight.

It was nice project for me to start with eventhough I had almost finished with Monaco GP except for the score board marquee. Moppet Video is doing great and sitting there. Plan to install Blue Elf for now until I find some orginial board along with bezel/Marquee.

OK, so, sounds like you probably have a power supply problem on the DK Jr. Check the voltages coming off the power supply. The manual will tell you what pins carry what voltages.

The "flash" you see as the monitor powers off is normal. That's good - it means you have high voltage and it's basically functional. If you unplug the video cable and turn the game on, you should get a grey or white screen. Is this an original Nintendo DK Jr. cocktail, or a bootleg? There were lots of those out there. Pictures will help.

PONG. Works but need some upperfix. Looks like Bootleg to me. There is no Serial number or Stamped on it.

Donkey Kong Jr. I hadnoticed there is only one board. Is this possible reason why it is not working?

I was aware which DKjr should have two board to make it work? or it s like that.

There is one custom made CP on front side. I will replace that to orginial as if I could find ;D

I havent start testing Montior if it shows grey/white screen when not plugged into the video card. I m still new to arcade world and was spooked to go under the monitor neck and get myself high on 25k VOLTAGE! LOL

Looks to me like the DKJr has been converted to a gambling machine, hence the ugly control panel and horizontal monitor, and the board will not be a DKJr, it'll be an 8-liner or something. Truly monstrous what they have done to it!

Yeah. That's definitely been converted. It's not Donkey Kong Jr. any more. It's a poker or other gambling machine. Take a look at the monitor and see what kind it is - it might have been replaced. Nintendo monitors take an inverted video signal, so they either replaced it with a conventional one, or just used a video inverter board. That board isn't Donkey Kong Jr - it'll be whatever gambling board got stuffed in there. The power supply is original though. So, you'll definitely need at least a Donkey Kong Jr. board and a lot of rewiring.
