Picked this up non working a few weekends ago, and now it's alive!! HUGE thanks to Gregatron for helping me out with my countless chassis issues and PCB fix, and to Aaron for hooking me up with the 9P power cable I needed. It still needs some cosmetic love, but she works and the monitor looks beautiful.

Obligatory shitty cell phone pics...

Couple things. The marquee is garbage. Anyone got a nice one for sale? The joystick is garbage too. What's the best way to clean these? Or, I'd buy one if someone had a nice OG one.

DK is the shit. So glad to have this one back.

I may have a marquee and do have a couple nintendo joysticks on a VS panel that would work (which I believe are complete).

I can check and send pics tomorrow if you're curious big boy.

on my (your old one) mario bros, the joysticks were stuck, or sticky.

I pulled out the wd40 gave them a shot and boom, 100% perfect.

Someone had pointed out to me that the whole unit is metal in there, so I went for it.
Joysticks are still working perfectly

looks like you need a driver in your cade though.
let me know when you want to trade that for my spy hunter.

Yeah, this one was really bad. I actually pulled the CP, cleaned everything and shot it with some WD40 as a temp fix. Its 1000% better right now. I'll still take it apart eventually, but its great for now.

No Spy Hunter for me. I'm still bummed I passed off that Pole Position to my buddy instead of buying it from you :(

Ive also realized I have a PCB issue. When you pass the 1st barrel board, your score automatically jumps up to 804K. This happened 4 games in a row. It makes me feel like a great DK player, but I'll post in the repair section to see about a fix. Bad Z80 maybe?

Oh, I need an instruction card of the CP. Anyone got one? I think Mikes Arcade is out of stock right now.

Get OTT to do it. He made me a repro instruction card for my cocktail, and it is of the highest quality. Just look:

Wow- That did turn out nice. I hate to say it, but I would replace the original faded one with another repro to keep them looking the same...

Send me an invoice. Seriously, I'll take one.

Todd Tuckey actually has the most accurate repros (that I know of) of the instruction sheet. That is, unless you can get one from This Old Game. He did some for the D2K kits.

Everyone else seems to get the wording at the bottom wrong. The original was a reddish/pink and most of the repros have it as white.

Focus on gameplay over cosmetics. Get a joystick you are happy with.

Then practice. A lot.
