Can someone point me in the right direction for one of these? The few ive seen all are not even close to the OG one on the game. Thanks!

What's wrong with that one? Sorry, not too knowledgeable on DK.

IIRC, mikesarcade.com has them.

The font for one.... spacing between the text....missing the TM at the top and the copyright under DONKEY KONG....

Mikes has the same one.....

Maybe im nitpicking but I cant believe someone has not made an exact one.....

Rich's repro is the best if you've got a red DK because those did not have the TM or copyright info. I have an original and, compared to Rich's, the colors are slightly different but that could (arguably) be chalked up to fading on the original. Personally, I think its just a matter of the red being off (most notably the orange red "Donkey Kong" is too red (almost a purple red) on the repro)

If you want the best repro for a later donkey kong (the ones with the copyright and TM) Todd Tuckey has the best ones. He sells them on eBay. He's got the correct color on the printing at the bottom. Again, colors are ever so slightly off from my NOS original (with the copyright) but it's very negligable.

There are lots of variations on this one.
vectored an original myself matched font and kerning.

some have copyright (R), (c), TM, etc. and some dont just like the marquees, and bezels
I cant repro every version/revision out there

I saw this one on Ebay and thought it was the most like the OG one i have. Didnt think about there being more than one but figured that the design came from somewhere....
Thanks for the info guys...helps alot.

Rich, I think your repro is the closest as far as font and kerning. The biggest thing I see holding it up to both of my originals is the color of "Donkey Kong" Both of my originals (one is NOS) have a red/orange color for "Donkey Kong" and yours looks more like a red/purple or red/pink. I think if you tweaked that on the next run it would be perfect.

Also, I think it's cool that you did the no copyright one that just says "Nintendo". Todd has the other version covered. I can't remember who he said did his.

I'd love to see a whole reproduction DK art package without the copyright and trademarks (especially the side art!) for those of us with red DKs (or early blue ones). The no copyright instruction sticker would be really cool too.
