It's fake though, the arms would fall due to gravity. It could be done though, if more gray pepsi 12 packs were used to prop up the arms.

I noticed that too. Could be empty boxes glued together I suppose?

Obviously there is something that's not exactly at it appears at first glance, but I'd hardly call it fake.

Here is a quote from someone claiming to be the artist responsible;
"To anyone who may be wonder or has asked, the elbows of Donkey Kong are yes made up of empties that I taped together and hung from the sides, but everything else is made up of full cases. I've definitley had funmaking these and will post more pics as they come about in the future."

This must be the same guy that did the Mario.The idea is cool ,but i agree the only way you could safely pull this off is with empty boxes for the arms.PEACE!!!

Nope not buying it. :p All of the images for each type of soda box look exactly the same. No scuff marks or broken packages among them. Plus, if you stacked up full cases that high, the bottom ones would certainly be crushed. Fail.

Perhaps this has a little less potential for photoshoping.

As for being crushed, the numbers say no. An empty (and opened) soda can will support 100#+. Ignoring that 12 cans full, bundled together, and stacked tight would be *far* stronger, a case of soda evenly loaded is capable of supporting at least 1200#. DK is 34 cases high at peak, with each case weighing about 10.5# 1200# >> 357#, so the bottom case would likely survive even if the cans inside were empty.

This is possible. I worked For Schnucks markets for a while and our store was constantly doing displays like this with unopened cases of soda. They would use some duct tape and strategicly placed cardboard sheeting to help give support and do gravity challenging displays like this.

The bottom cans would support the weight but what if someone knocked this over. Could be very dangerous.
