Currently working on a new project . Not sure how many of these I have left in me so figured I would document it. I got this from a friend who was nice enough to donate it to me. This appears to have had multiple conversions and is currently empty and in rough shape.IMG_3027.jpeg

Day one
The cabinet had several coats of paint, but the Nintendo cabs usually sand well and feather edge nicely. Some bondo to extra holes and a bit of missing laminate . The front panel where the coin door mounts will have to be replaced. I will then roll on three coats of Kilz paint. Followed by sanding with 100 and then 220 paper. IMG_3088.jpeg

Thank goodness it has the monitor. This is gonna take a LOT of parts! Do you already have most of the parts around?

Is all that soap and water because you just washed your car, or the cabinet? Plywood Nintendo cabinets seem to tolerate being washed pretty well. I love a clean cabinet, but only the plywood cabinets can take a hosing the way I like to do it.

Are there any bits that you currently need for this project?

I am ordering multiple parts from various sources as I need everything. I am getting the control panel and marquee and instruction card, coin entry card , coin mechs and molding from Mikes arcade, the bezel and side art from Phoenix arcade. I will need a game board . The wiring is the old style multiple plug setup so I believe that is the four board stack.

Yes, that is soap and water. After all the sanding there was a ton of dust. If the cabinet is not particle board I give them a wash (not saturated, but enough to clean it well)
