I put together a Nintendo -> Jamma adapter which I attached a picture for. I followed the schematics from mikesarcade and arcade archive. I attach an MK2 and everything looks fine. The two DK3 boards I have all power and look like they do in the pictures. A non functional DK JR board does the same. And the Popeye was never working but it kinda looks like it is showing more color? I am not sure whats goin on :(
I attached all the pictures for reference.

Any ideas on what to check for the Popeye? It powers but its all just Garbled.

Also anyone have an extra HN482764G EPROM that they would be willing to sell me?

Thanks!

That's an easy one...the Nintendo boards use inverted video, so when you hook them up to a regular (non-inverted) monitor, they look like a negative.

Buy one of these:

So much easier (and probably cheaper) than getting the parts and doing the work. But, if you want to do it yourself, I have to ask a question first:

Are you willing to modify your Nintendo PCBs? If so, you could:
1) Reprogram the color PROMs
2) Install components on the PCB to do the inversion (they are silk-screened on the boards, just not populated)

If not, you will need to build or buy a video inverter.

I mean, I have a lot of spare components. Is there a schematic to build one of these video inverter boards ontop of my adapter?
