Donkey Kong Cocktail Value?

Value to whom? There really is no set retail value on these machines. 50% of people will tell you that they hate playing DK in this form so they are worthless. 40% of the remaining 50% will say the same thing, because that's what the first 50% said. 10% of collectors (myself included) consider these cocktails to be pretty classy and have a nostalgic love for the late 70's look. This is how I first played the game, so I really enjoy owning one. I paid $160 for mine, but when I was actively looking, I woulda dropped $350-400 on a nice example. If you are buying it to flip, don't bother.

I bought my first arcade cabinet ever in July 2010. It was a DK cocktail.

I probably overpaid at $350, but I really wanted to get an original DK.

Later I upgraded to an upright DK, and sold the cocktail.

The cocktail sold fast and I got my money back. Put it up on Craigslist for $450 (to match another DK cocktail owner's ad price), and someone offered $200. We negotiated and agreed upon $350.

I paid $400 for mine and it was in pretty good shape. Only thing missing was the coin door lock and part of the coin mech (both of which I've replaced). I've even hauled it around to a few shows (Kalamazoo MI, Milwaukee WI, Louisville KY). I like that it fits in the back seat of my car :)

Are these one of the style cocktail tables that can be raised to standing tabletop?

i don't know if they go that high, but they have (iirc) a foot of range roughly that you can go up or down. pricewise, they tend to go cheaper than uprights. i paid the equivalent of $250 or so for mine.
