This has been a long time in the works but I finally finished my Donkey Kong cocktail. Big props to theseeker77 for the art and mrdude for tips on the vinyl and melamine application. I still need to put the feet on and the side locks but everything else is done. I'll get some more pics and maybe a clip up once I add those. Click on the link to see a couple pics.

I decided I wanted a dkjr. color to match theseeker77's art and to go along with all of the orange in my home. Let me know what you folks think.

Sorry, not my taste.

Yikes that pic is huge. Might want to stick with the link STG. Edit: never mind it resized.

I know the purists would shed a tear but this thing was beat to hell when I got it. I always thought the original cab design was ugly anyways. Plus someone already tried to paint it and had torn up the wood on the top. They used gloss black industrial crap under the glass which required me to completely sand off the top and throw away the glass.

It had no guts in it other than the coin mech. So I built this from the ground up with the intention of using a 60 in 1 which is why I have the 2nd button. I have another set of control panels if I ever want to go closer to original.

Looks good man. The top came out great! A DK Jr. artwork would have topped it off. What did you do for paint on the body?

Mine was in rough shape too when I got it.

I had a local powder coater do the orange. They smoothed out some of the dents and scratches for me especially on the legs.

The top part was really the worst. So much crappy paint, the veneer on the side had essentially demented itself so even a sharp scraper could not get most of it off. I had to sand a lot and then use a ton of wood putty to fix the parts that fell or cracked off.
