Donkey Kong Cab-Custom or Factory?

And I like how there is a huge dark spot on the monitor, and they say its a easy fix.

No they said "the movers broke the light bulb for the screen. Should be easy to replace if you know what you are doing to get it working again"

Thats more honest than most are.

40 watts? That's way too dim! You won't even see the characters on the screen! You need at least a 100 watt though I'd recomment a 120 watt bulb. Always go incandescent as the florescent bulbs give off too much of a white glow for the monitors to handle. If you want to mess with someone, install one of those blacklight bulbs in there... it messes all the colors up.

:D

Dude,
for $125 I'd buy that thing, swap out the monitor and never look back.
That thing is in good shape and looks pretty cool, bootleg or not.

i saw one of those cabs at a south jersey auction a few years ago. I believe they said it was canadian, which sounds silly but who knows. the one thing i remember clearly, was that it said 'nintendo' on the attract screen and it played the screens in order (girders- pie- springs- rivets) every time.

the wrap-around bezel was pretty awesome though. i would have snagged the game at the auction, but i already had a kong, and i'm pretty sure my wife would have had me shot if i brought home a new game only for the graphics:D.

Man, I wish that thing wasn't 700 miles away...that's the cab I've been looking for. I'm almost willing to bet money that it's actually a Crazy Kong, even though the marquee says Donkey Kong. I have 2 nearly identical marquees to those, one says Crazy Kong and one just says Kong, but the instruction area is the same. I also have a control panel from a Crazy Kong (according to the guy I bought it from) that is an exact match. Here's a link to Jeff Rothe's blog with some pics of both a Crazy Kong and Crazy Junior in that cab (as wel as a Jr Pac conversion):

Also including pics of the marquees and CP I have.

I used to play the same type of cab at a pizza place here in NJ a very long time ago. Although the Jason Marquis was the same as the one that says "Kong" in the pic above.
