donkey kong buzzing...

My understanding, from reading a zillion posts on this, is that Nintendo's games from that period all buzz because of the design characteristic (flaw) of the monitor. That being said, yours sounds a lot louder than mine.

Definately do a search (try combos of "dk" "donkey kong" "nintendo" "buzz" and "hum") and you should find a lot.
 
Recap the sound board. Also try rerouting the chassis power cord away from the sound board input and speaker wires. They are usually routed together at the rear of the chassis, I'm not sure why Sanyo did that but yeah, induced 60hz hum sux! Really sounds like a cap issue to me though.

I read somewhere (maybe on this forum) that you could put a capacitor across the 2 leads on the speaker and remove a lot of the hum. I don't remember what size though. But I would try the other suggestions first.
