Hi all,

I have owned several cocktail arcade tables for the last several years. They came to me in good working order and so I haven't been exposed to much real heavy lifting (yet).

I picked up this cocktail Donkey Kong which has been converted to standing height.

The screen scrolls and I can see the Potentiometer for V Hold has been replaced. I am pretty sure I know the fix here - replace again the Pentiometer. I already have on hand 50K OHM .25 Watt 250VDC Maximum operating voltage 20% 15mm Diameter Carbon TRIMMER POTENTIOMETER (P1040). I intend to remove the wires they jumpered and the Pot they have in place now, and put it back on the board.

MY QUESTION: The video appears to only take up about 80% of the width of the screen. Should I look into capacitor replacement kit, or, do I need new screen altogether, or, something else?

Edit to add:

when you say "width" do you actually mean "height"?

and all of these monitors require cap replacement. a lot of the old caps leak.

Thank you, I suppose I might. When seated playing, it would be the "width" that is narrowed. But in this orientation the screen is "portrait". I've added photos and a video to my original post which should help clear this up.

There is a adjustable coil to change the horizontal width

If you're gonna replace anything I'd just recap the monitor while you have it apart, Sanyo's are a bit of a pain to disassemble, lol.
