Anyone ever see one do this? I found a bad rom on the video board, replaced it and it's less ugly. Swapped z80s, same result. Swapped ribbon cables, same deal. Tried the Braze kit to look for ram issues, same. Voltages are good, I have another that works in the cabinet and with the Braze kit.

I had a Popeye here doing the same thing. I don't know where the people here shoved the broken board. I wanted to swap chips between a good one to see if I could narrow it down.

new CPU socket didn't help that one. so I'm guessing the rams are toast and that the logic probe needs to come out.

don't know the first thing about Nintendo logic. :(

If the braze kit won't boot, it is probably 2114 ram failure, or a bad CPU. Could also be the DMA controller not giving back control to the CPU. Check pin 26 on the CPU, it should start Low, then transition to High, allowing the CPU to run within a second or so.

Best,
