OK, so this is my first attempt or even thought about attempting this.

I have 2 Nintendo monitors that are completely trashed. They were outside in the weather for probably many years. One the yoke was completely unwinding so I decided to use this as my first attempt at removing a yoke. Success!

Couple of questions.

1. Has anyone used a nintendo monitor as a donar before? The writing is all washed off so I can't tell the brand of the tube. The neck looks like a standard size.

2. Is there any good videos out there of showing how exactly to remove the good yoke for use on a new tube? I see lots of write ups, but they rarely have pictures or seem to skip important parts in the process. Maybe now that I have removed one it will make more sense.

3. The yoke is off, obviously, can it still be tested on the rejuv? I have never actually seen this tube work, so I will like to make sure there are no problems before proceeding. I just wasted sure if a yoke was needed for the tests a rejuv does.

Thanks.

I am also going to go search for some Daewoo TVs this week and maybe I can get lucky with a few since I have a K7000 chassis just laying around.

if you need a Nintendo sanyo yoke i have one for sale.
that way you can still use the tube frame and rings.
so you can keep the sanyo chassis with it.

Everything pretty much fell apart when I removed the yoke. My guess is this monitor has been out in the Arizona weather for many years. I wouldn't even trust the chassis. All that looks good is the tube itself.

Thanks though.

sure to make it lighter to ship.
but if your sending it priority in some way then it wont matter. unless it weighs 30 pounds or something.
