Don't you hate it when you see a out of order sign on a pinball machine!!!. I went to the local pizza place to have some pizza and play Simpson pinball party so i walked in placed my order and got some tokens and headed to the machine and saw this eyesore "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the machine.DAMN IT!!! so i asked the guy at the counter whats wrong with the machine and he said that a group of punks were shaking and tilting the machine very hard and it stop working.I asked the owner if he would open the machine and let me take a look at it and he said no and he was going to take it out so i asked him if he would like to sell it and he said no and he's going to put it in storage and probably let it sit there and rot!!.I did power up the machine but it was dead only the lights on the playfield came on and that was it nothing else.Finding pins in my area is very rare and seeing this nice simpsons go is very sad.

This makes me sad and mad. Right, let it sit and no one plays it, thus no money comes in from it. Every owner SHOULD know, they will require parts at some point and punks will break them at times. This guy needs to sell the machine and never get more, or fix it and move on. I mean I'm sure he is frustrated with the public at times, I supose he should get a new arcade game and forget the pin then, less parts to fix on an arcade of course.

Wow, I went to a pizza shop about a week go that had that very same game with an out of order sign on it. it was the worst looking Pinball Party I ever seen. just terrible shape. They had a Sopranos and a Monopoly as well. They were working but just barely.

There is an arcade near me that has a Medieval Madness and the last time I went to play it, the tech had left a test clip / wire on the playfield. It was playable, but some shots were impossible. Saw some other people get frustrated with it too.

I drove out to the airport over here last week specifically to play The Simsons Pinball Party, the game was so dirty and in such rough shape that I just couldn't enjoy it. Flippers weren't solid, jet bumper harware shaking loose, etc.

Games maintained by Southern Music Ltd, anyone in the Calgary area knows how lazy and inept they are.

Sometimes these guys have been hounded so many times to sell it they get angry. If i were you, pay him one more visit and ask him if he'd be willing to trade it for something that will continue to make him money. that is, if you have anything to trade for it.

I called him earlier today and this guy would'nt go for anything no sale,no trade for anything a real hard head.

I agree!! he should do that

show up with cash.
Start laying out bills until he says yes.

Ding ding ding!

We have a winner!

It's easy to say "no sale" based on principle until you see lots of green slips piling up... you might want to mention how many quarters each would be too ;)

I know the exact machine you're talking about. It's in that one smaller arcade, beside the Elvis, and i think family guy when I was there last. None in absolute great shape, but nothing that was really awful, from what I recall.

Also, rumour has it there's a larger arcade in that airport with more pins... would be interested in seeing if I can get to it, without having to actually buy a ticket anywhere...

The same thing here. Family and I went out for pizza at this place Organ Stop Pizza, the have a Wurlitzer organ, the dude rises from underground to the top of the stage, it's really cool. Anyways, they had 2 pins there Simpsons pinball party and South Park, the Simpsons had the "out of order' note on it covering the coin slots, and the south park had seen better days as the playfield was literately turning black and ball action was slow. We appreciated our only pin at home whole lot more (High-Speed) as It's always working at 100%, if not I take care of it so it does. I maintain it fairly well , it has some wear but not REAL bad and it still looks clean for and old pin. We just wanted a little DMD pin action, but HS satisfied our pin crave and brought us close as a family, my 2 year old has not gotten it yet she will, my son rocks at pinball and has played in tournaments, and the wife just like to keep the ball in play and kick her leg out as she plays, fun times. The Wurlitzer Rocks if anyone ever is in Arizona come to Mesa, Arizona and stop by the Organ Stop Pizza.

I think operators these days are very lazy and dont care about their machines such as cleaning the playfield it does not take that much time to clean and wax a playfield.I think some of them dont even know where to start
