Picked up Dominux8 from Groovy game gear on someones recommendation for my arcade SD setup and have to say Im pretty impressed.

Figured I would write a little review since I didn't find much on here about this stick.

Basically a wico knockoff.. so like robotron or dig dug, true leaf, comes in 8 way or 4 way.

Only thing that would make it better is if it came lower profile as a option since the taller stick feels weird on some games.

I managed to get a few hundred K on DK with it which I normally cant do with non Nintendo sticks since I hate playing it with anything else.

Anyways I would recommend it (assuming it lasts and doesnt break in a few weeks)… not the cheap option but its miles better then the other multi type sticks I have tried to date.

I got a set on my Multi-Williams and I have to agree they are really nice and solid. I was using microswitch sticks prior and pretty much the first time with the new sticks I smashed my high score on Robotron. I'm sure rebuilt Wicos are still the top choice, but these make a great alternative. Additionally they use the newer, current bolt pattern incase you want to use leaf switches instead of microswitches on some of your games that use Happ controllers.

BTW...they offer different gates options as well.

Yah this... forgot to mention that.

I didnt want to have to redrill my panel to get a real Wico to fit, these fit the Happ profile.

Do you feel like you can play maze type games with the 8 way?

I've helped a friend install a pair of these in a multi williams once I thought they were nice but also kinda soft

My experience was that they're a little too "buttery" for maze games. The top mount restrictor helps with 4-ways but still a little soft.

For Pacman really nothing is going to be any better then the actual pacman stick.

Like I said this feels more like a legit Wico so its more like Dig Dug or Robotron.

I have mine left so i dont use it for the maze games.... there is really no one stick that does everything well.

I am more of a DKong player and want to try this stick the (dominux8) with 4 way gate or octo restrictor and short stick. BUT I also play lots of 8 way games as well on my arcade sd setup as well!. I heard about the mag stick that you can change from top of control panel BUT hole patterns are different AND its microswitches (clickity click) Any thoughts on dominux8 with restrictors for DKong, dig dug, Malaga, gapless, dig dug pacman etc?
My control panel only has 1 joystick 3 buttons, trackball and 1&2 player start buttons
thanks
