Comming sometime late January/February i and Klover Jpopson are going to do a run of stenciled/Painted cabs. Cabs will be new/cnc cut Birch and assembled, then Primed, Painted, Stenciled, and Clearcoated. Kind of looking at interest on these, yes, they are a bit pricey, but consider what stencils, paint, and supplies cost. We will do the most popular one first, then look at the others for a 2nd run. Here's the choices -

1 Burgertime
2 Pacman
3 Ms pacman

Chime in if your interested, looking at a run of 10 cabinets. thanks! Brett

can you give a rough idea of what a ms p cab would cost w/o shipping. I'm not looking to hold your feet to the fire over the price you give today, just a general guess.

duh! I forgot price! Assembled, painted/stenciled cabinet with new leg leveler hardware will be 550.00 Cabinets will be meant as a direct replacement to a factory cabinet. All openings, coin door opening etc... will match the factory specs. So, if you have a beat up, water damaged, or painted/coverted cabinet you will be able to swap all the hardware to the new cabinet. I will wrap and pallet these to ship for the cost of the packing materials. Just let me know what cabinet you like to see done first. I will have pics of a stenciled ms pac john is doing right now soon. Thanks, Brett

Can you add Galaga to that list as a semi-gloss black shipped ready for decals? Some people may then also order them for multicades.

Ahhh....I suspect that price won't stick once they start stenciling and speckling little blue dots.

just pac has the blue dots right? I have to ask John about that one.. i know a toothbrush works good for that trick though. I can have any cab painted, John is working out prices. Straight paintjob is i beleive 100.00 2 tone jobs like nintendo's and Q*berts are 120.00

Yeah, just the Pac, and by the way....my hats off to you guys for the work you are doing. Your heart is definitely in it.

lol we aren't making much money. I just love to build things, always have. If i was in it for the money, i wouldn't be eating lol i do ok with the day job, and this is just something i like to do. I hope to switch over to kitchen cabinetry some day, but for now i'm happy making arcade cabinets.

making money

The problem that I see with this entire hobby is that there are too many people trying to figure out how to make money at it. For Brett and I both it is a hobby that is born from a love of classic arcade games. Now I am not saying that making money doing something you love is a bad thing, but that should not be the bottom line, you do it because you love it. I own a very successful restaurant/bar that is seasonal. This gives me the luxury of being mostly unemployed for the winters, so I like to keep my shop busy. I have a 2600 square foot workshop that I use only for arcade related stuff. I have a 60 inch vinyl plotter and access to a ton of other cool gadgets. As far as the paint goes, I can cover my costs pretty well with an order of 10 cabinets at these prices, plus have a little bit to cover the utilities at the shop. Also as far as the blue speckles on the Pac cabs, those will be left to the proud owners, cus I sure as hell am not going to do that. lol

Hey John, i still have a couple of those illegal firecrackers left over from the 4th, what if we put the blue paint in a balloon and taped one to it? see, i'm always thinkin...:D

lol someone on here did a gorf, and dipped a toothbrush in white paint. You put on a rubber glove, and flick the bristles, and it looks just like factory. Could make it an "option" at an additional charge, cause we would need to hang plastic loL!

Its not like my shop floor does not see its fair share of paint. I just looked at it as a pain in the ass factor. $200.00 more to put blue specs on them Pacs!!! Then I will really be rolling in the dough!!

"dont worry man.. my dad has a boss set of tools" lol
