Pretty embarrassing Dog Patch play, but it was my first game in a few years. Regardless, you get the idea.

I have had a Dog Patch riding in the back of my suburban for over a month now.

I really need to get it out and set up in the house...

Thanks for the comments. It's definitely underrated: fun to play two players, the bird makes for a nice balancing mechanism and you can get extended play. Besides, what other game is based on stereotypes of po' mountain folks and has an outhouse as side art?

Midway did cheap out on the backdrop a little bit tho. Not molded plastic like Boot Hill, Guided Missile, etc.

Backdrops kick ass, this one included.
They add an extra visual dimension.
Dog Patch is also surprisingly fun to play.
Is there a trick to getting the bird?
It's pretty hard to hit!

Timing: there is an auditory cue right before the bird shoots out. It's easier to shoot the bird after playing a few times.

I have one of these in my garage right now. Holding it for another collector. I was told it works and could fire it up if I wanted... Guess I should check it out.
