I work an average job in a racing performance shop(Quick Time Performance). I am getting low on room for pinball machines and such. One day i asked my boss if i could store a couple machines in the ware house for a while. He asked if had any video games and if the pins worked. They did so to my surprise he said set them up in the office. Now i have two arcade machines and three pinball machines in the main office. His kids use them all the time and its a great distraction for cutomers. Makes lunch more enjoyable too. They have been in the office for close to a year now and my boss is wanting some games. Thought this was pretty funny to share. :)

(I know I spelt does wrong. Too late to fix now.)

I asked to put a game (set on freeplay) in our lunch room, and was turned down. My company doesn't have a clue about what creates good morale. :(

CEO of my company pretty much insisted that I bring a game in. Have MS Pac mini with 96-1 in the break room turned on now for well over 2 years. Might be time to swap it out with something else. First game I had in the office was my Defender cocktail table, use to challenge the VP of Engineering on it all the time. He was decent and could get around 250k but of course I could always kick his butt. haha!

Up until last year I used to bring a pinball into work every year near the holidays. We held a pin tournament and charged $5.00 per person with the proceeds going to the charity drive campaign. It was a lot of fun and many many people participated. They keep asking me to do it again but I don't have any working pins right now. :(

Oh, and it's "does".

oopps. My bad. Its nice to see some people do bring the fun to work. :)

I asked and was turned down. My new boss where I will be working has insisted I bring a machine in though...

I used to work with this stuff all the time, but people I'm with now think you're goofing off if you go out for lunch or talk with a co-worker more than a minute. The concept of good morale is lost on them.

When I was running out of room at home, I asked the owner of the company I work for if it was cool to bring a few working games to the shop for everyone to enjoy. He said YES and now he is hooked also. He now owns three himself. Ironicly he is getting another one today. He's been wanting a Galaga and we found one.

What pins do you have and what's wrong with them?

I work in a cube farm, so it's not even worth asking.

Don't you have a break room at least or are you supposed to eat lunch at your cube while working?

I always love when people use the "good morale card" as an excuse to screw off at work. Funny.

Micromanaging is the opposite of morale.

And I don't know about your work environment, but at ours, we get these things called "breaks" and "lunches"...

Nothing wrong with "screwing off " at work If it was not for screwing off i would have left a loooong time ago. Everyone at my job has fun but when push comes to shove the work gets done so my boss can give a damn less. Hes more of a friend to me than a boss.

The only one I have now is Pinbot (had to sell the others to pay the bills). And it's got two bad displays...or something else wrong that's making them not work. The top two alphanumerics are completely out.
