Does This Tube Need a Matsushita TM-202G Chassis or Will Another Work?

This is all new to me, so please forgive any naive questions.

I found a Broksonic 19" TV with no scratches. I researched the model number on KLOV. I bought it and found it had an Orion tube A48AGY13X77, which, per posts on KLOV, was supposed to be a fat-neck CR23 that could possibly be a replacement for a WG4600 or even K7000. I got resistance readings of 2.4 horizontal and 12.8 vertical.

It turns out this is a nine-pin CR30.

I know this won't fit on the K7000 chassis I have. I have also seen posts here that it will work with a Matsushita TM-202G chassis. I am imagining that is not easy to find, and, from what I have researched, it looks like it is not a great chassis. It seems like they were in some Pole Position and Millipede games.

Is there such a thing as an adapter for a chassis to get a tube to fit? Would anyone be able to build and sell me one?

Any recommendations on what to do here?

Thanks.

I have not heard of such an adapter. There is alot of components and circuitry on a neck board. And the way in which pins make contact with the socket is imperative. You will come across TM-202G chassis from time to time and they are usually pretty cheap because as you mentioned, Matsu-SHITTY are not well admired. Whats wrong with the tube you have?

Thanks for the reply.

The current tube on the K7000 is from a tube swap someone local to me did for me. Unfortunately, it won't converge on the bottom half of the screen, despite adjusting the rings. He tossed the yoke from the old monitor I had in there, which was leaky.

I started to look for the TM-202G chassis.

I'd be on the lookout for a dedicated arcade monitor in your area that you can swap in. Or at least a dedicated tube. Lots of tubes match up well with k7000.

No I mean one that was not being used as a TV but was already in an arcade machine. Unless thats what you're explaining already.

Hantarex MTC900E or 9000 will fit that CR23 tube. Yoke readings are fine. Worst case you'll have to replace the socket.

Without pictures it is hard to say, but the convergence issue may be as simple as the yoke being improperly adjusted or the convergence ring assembly being in the wrong position. Check out some of Michael Jensen's YouTube videos on convergence (especially those for the k7000 and other WG chassis.

I appreciate all the help from people here.

To answer some questions:

The tube pictured is the Orion A48AGY13X77 tube from a TV I bought. From all my research, it was supposed to go with a 4600 or K7000. I have a K7000 chassis on another tube that would not converge after a tube swap. That K7000 chassis has a 7-pin socket. The tube I now have has this 9-pin socket.

Some are saying that the tube I pictured will only go with a Matsushita. This tube has that 9-pin neck and a 2.4 horizontal and 12.8 vertical resistance readings.

Is there another chassis this would go with?

It will work on a K7000 if you replace the neckboard with that of the 25" version.

Thanks. I could also get an entire K7000 19" chassis that is 10-pin, if anyone has one for sale.
