Does the start button on an Atari Video Pinball light up?

Mine doesn't and I wanted to check to see if the game does or not before I try and replace it.
The manual shows that it is, but the button is a dark black where the light should shine through.
This is what is in there now.
Any thoughts?

Haven't double checked, but I'm almost certain the LED lights up (maybe even blinks) when there's a credit.

I recall it lighting up, from when I've played it at CAX and elsewhere.

Looks like you may have the wrong type of button. The non-lit ones were used in Missile Command, and as credit buttons on the accessory panels of other Atari games.

Shawn, if that top is black, it's a Missile Command button. The AVP start button is translucent red.

If you need a red button, let me know. I'll trade you for the black one.

No worries.
I just wanted to confirm which button it was and due to it being black, it didn't look like it would show through.

Thanks guys.
