Does my Donkey Kong Cabaret have a Super Punch-Out Joystick?????????

Restrictor plate

So I absolutely will need a 4 way restrictor plate for this stick, I can't imagine playing DK with an 8-way! I Mike's arcade sells whole sticks, but all I need is the plate.

Does anyone have one they could sell?

Or even better could someone scan it at 600 dpi? Then I could make my own on the mill.

It is part 23-51 in this schematic:

Why did you think that was a SPO joystick? If anything, it's a Vs. stick.

No biggie. My Jr. had a Vs. stick. It was a shorter stick too. I ordered a new stick and restrictor from Mike. All fixed.

Cause the shaft is threaded and according to Mike that is the super punch out stick. Now I am questioning why I didn't order a new shaft too! I didn't notice that it was shorter!

From left to right:

  1. TKGU Stick - Original w/30mm Ball (Used in uprights with wood control panels)
  2. TKGU Stick - Reproduction w/30mm Ball
  3. TKGT Stick - Original w/25mm Ball (Used in the following table games: DK, DKJr, DK3 and Popeye)
  4. TKGT Stick - Reproduction w/25mm Ball
  5. TMAU Stick - Original w/28mm Ball (Used in Mario Bros, DK3 and Punch-Out!!, Playchoice, and VS. Unisystems Uprights as well as the VS. Unisystem "Red Tent" Table)
  6. TMAU Stick - Reproduction w/30mm Ball
  7. CHSU Stick - Original w/28mm Ball (Super Punch-Out!!)

What I can't figure out is what stick came originally in the Cabaret?! There is so little information about the cabaret cabinets!

Arrgh!

You want a regular DK stick. The cabaret has a wood cp just like a Donkey Kong upright so the height is beneficial. Not sure on ball size, but who doesn't like big balls?

I'd PM MYLSTAR about the shafts. I bought some of those from him when I picked up the restrictor plate. He, at the time, has a ton of them.

I have about 25 NOS Nintendo DK shafts (no ball tops) and I have 1 or 2 NOS shafts w/ball tops for various Nintendo games that are not listed on the site.

Bumping this up. Anyone that has a DK cabaret can you please measure the ball top size?

Since my stick is threaded on the end I could give it to a friend who needs a Super Punch Out stick.

I just want to replace the stick with the right size on my cabaret.

My DK cabaret has the same exact size joystick as my upright and cocktail. I can take a video of it tonight when I get home if that will help?

That really isn't necessary, my cabaret's ball top is smaller, the same size as on my PC10 and red tent, the difference is that the shaft is threaded at the end like a super punch out one.

My joystick is definitely not threaded like yours in the video and it has a restrictor plate in place.
