Does it fit? System 1 in a Honda Odyssey or RAM 1500 with tonneau

Atari System 1 (Marble Madness!)... I need to pick it up. I have an option of using a Honda Odyssey or a RAM 1500 with a tonneau cover.

The truck sounds like the obvious choice, but that tonneau cover I think will get in the way. Never was a problem for pins, but I'm not sure the vid cab will slide in far enough to keep it from hanging out the back.

For the Odyssey... Would it fit if I remove the seats?

Thanks! I don't want to get there and have a big surprise...

I am guessing the 1500 with the cab slid in on it's side (make sure to use blankets/padding) should work... The game is only about 25" wide...

I'd go for the RAM as well. Just turn the game on its side, use padding, and if it hangs of the end a bit just strap across the bottom and you're set.

Every game I own was moved in a Honda Odyssey, including a Jurassic Park Lost World upright.

I say use the Honda. I have transported games in pick-ups, minivans, crossovers, and SUVs and the minivans win hands down. They have a lower entry point, are completely enclosed, get better mileage, and are usually carpeted.

if its a hard tonneau cover, i doubt it'll work - mine won't. If i'm going to get a game, i have to remove it. I've got hangers in my garage that i just drive under and unbolt it, and hang it from them.
Mine is a 2004 1500, with an ARE cover. I think its like 23" high at the center, a regular width vid just won't go with it in place.

I would say take the cover off the truck, use a blanket and slide the game right in on its back, I have done that several times, makes loading and unloading very quick and easy..

I have hauled many games in our Odyssey too. I usually just take out 1 middle seat and fold down the bigger section of the back row. That way my boys can still go with me if they want. Plenty of room for a game and I don't need to tarp the damn thing.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking I'll go with the Odyssey since it has been universally approved, while I _might_ have a problem with the truck.

Minivan worked great. Tons of room. Could not have gone any smoother.

Only prob is that it is still in my minivan... at my work's parking lot... since I went directly back to work.

Why is that a problem? I have a Section Z cocktail sitting in the back of my Suburban right now.

Is a lack of a long enough extension cord the problem?
