Example of fat scan lines on a pvm.

Those are skinny scan lines with fat blanks between them. 😉

That's the price you pay for having a high quality monitor. It shows the flaws in the video signal.

Which game is it? Is it putting out a non-interlaced (progressive ) display? Looks like it.

Also, which PVM? Is it a standard resolution (450 lines) or high resolution (600 lines) model? It really does look nice.

One in the picture is a 2530. My favorite model is the 1953md use it all the time, just like it the best. Can't remember if the 2530 is a high resolution but the 1953md is not for sure.

Castlevania is the game, just straight 240p rgb from the nes.

Unrelated to the specific topic of Sanyo monitors in this thread, I will say that Grok, in my experience, knows more about arcade games than chatgpt.

I thought it was castlevania. It looks good.

The 1953md is indeed an HR model, with 600 lines. I used to have one. You should see the "HR" logo on the top left front. Very nice!

I'm not sure about the 2530's line count but I don't think it's an HR model. But who cares right? It a 25" PVM!

I have an Olympus OEV-203. It's a rebadged PVM-20M2MDU with an HR tube with 600 lines. I'm too puny to lift anything bigger!🤣

You're right, lol I guess I just thought it was a lower resolution but I see that badge. That was dumb of me, I literally use this thing almost daily and never paid any attention to that. Must be why I like the image quality so much. The 2530 doesn't seem to have an hr logo on it, could've been wiped off but I'll look it up. After looking it up none of them have the logo. The Olympus and 1953md are pretty similar if I remember correctly. Idk I like the 19" pvm the best the 25" pvm takes up too much space, can't stack consoles on it too. Heavy as a truck too.
