This game I got someone hacked in a switcher without the new MCR adapter (which I want to get) and don't think getting a new switcher + the MCR adapter will be plug and play anymore. The hack job is so poor in this cabinet that the side of the PCB with the lone edge connector (nearest to the power supply board) one of the center pins in the connector had burned at some point and instead of putting a brand new connector on the harness they cut and soldered that wired directly to the pin on the PCB.

I'm by no means a repair expert, but the little bit of stuff I can do I do try to be as clean and neat as possible and whoever hacked this game up should be straight up ashamed of themselves. If you're smart enough to wire in a new switching power supply why in the hell would you be soldering wires from a burnt edge connector directly to the pins of the PCB instead of just putting an entire brand new edge connector on it? So dumb!

So anyway, I just feel if I try to unwind all the hacking within this harness I'm opening myself up to a potential mistake and would rather just get a new unhacked harness to put in it so I can safely get a new PSU + the MCR adaptor and plug and play without the fear of something is going to be wired wrong or completely missing.

Ask Ken at Golden Age Arcade Parts, he goes by Wldfire here on KLOV

Post up some pics. Might not be that bad to fix. Might just need a few molex connectors to make it whole again. Most likely what happened was a operator might have put a switcher in there on while the game was on location even before the adapter was even out yet. When a game is on location making money they do what they have to in order to have it make money again quickly. I've also bought games from people who "had a friend" wire something in and made more of a mess rather then fixing it correctly.

Not unusual for an operator or tech quick fix.
