Does anyone make a Free Play button? I mean, obviously, any switch can be a free play button. But I mean a button, for your cabinet, that says "Free Play" in nice preprinted letters. I can't find one, but I can't believe no one has made them, either.

Really? Fifth I get is onecircuit.com. Hmm. Lord knows. I actually like the groovy game gear one better. Drunk people would try to smash the button to get the quarter. :) Still surprised no one makes a button with just "free play" written on it. I guess everyone assumes you'll print your own free play thing and just stick it under the button cover. It usually ends up looking kind of janky, though.

Print FREE PLAY on a clear address label and then place it on the button and trim around it

Should be good

For my Atari Football, I put a flat switch with a ribbon cable and an adhesive back inside the coin return on the coin door. The ribbon snaked up and I attached it to the wires on the coin mech. That way anybody can reach inside the coin return, press down, and add a credit. It's been a couple years since I bought it off eBay and they don't keep history around very long. You could do something similar with any small switch.

Vinyl lettering... "Free Play"... stick it to a regular arcade button... done.

I did "COIN" and "EXIT" ... probably 7 years ago now, for my MAME cabinet. They're still there.

I use the illuminated "PLAY CREDIT" buttons from old poker's and 8 liners in a few of my games. A few others I have a leaf switch mounted to the coin mechs in a fashion so the reject buttons act as a credit switch. A few others [GULP] have credit buttons mounted on the coin doors.
