I had never done maintenance on a Wico trackball assembly before? Wow, what a major pain! The bearings are a different size than Atari/Happ and are very expensive ($20) if you can find them at all. The rollers are a custom size. There are little springs beneath the bearings that are very easily lost. And the absolute worst part is getting the bearings on & off the rollers. What were they thinking?
I hate 'em. I'm never, ever going to use one in a game again. I'm going to get rid of all mine. They are all for sale. I think I have 8. Anyone interested? How's that for a sales pitch?
Does anyone actually actively use and/or like dealing with Wico trackball assemblies? Does anyone have any use for them at all?
Someone please tell me why I shouldn't just outright throw them away. Again, unless of course you want to buy mine.
