does anyone know if this is a DK Jr. PCB? (or bootleg)

I got this PCB from a working cabinet but never saw it myself so i do not know what game it is. It has a monkey on the backside, it look brandnew. And it also has some writing on one side : JK-OIB. Is this the bootleg Junior King?

Can anyone tell me if it's worth something.... i have a pinball that needs repair. So i kinda need some funds!

I have one of those, it's a DKJR bootleg. It will work in a cocktail, if you can fit it in, it is quite a big board.

Apparently these boards will work with the US ROM set aswell, although I havn't tried it myself yet.

I have seen those before, however I have never owned one. It looks almost identical to the Nintendo DK in comparison to the layout of the parts.

I've got 2 of these, and I believe they're both running the Japanese romset. I haven't gotten around to finishing a harness to actually play them yet though. There is one nice thing about them. As kane086 mentioned, they use standard video and speakers. They don't have the inverted video like a real Nintendo board, and they don't need the audio amplified. I've also got 2 single boards, one is "Donkey King Jr" and the other one says "Nintendo of America 1982" on the title screen.

Hmm that's pretty interesting. Were these going around in the 80's when the game was still new? Could people bootleg stuff like that back then?

All the bootlegs are from 'back then', no point bootlegging a game that is no longer in demand. The chips on my board are from around early 1982.

Yeah, they were cheaper than buying a machine from Nintendo. There were several kinds of DK Jr bootlegs. There was Junior King (which looks similar to the above boards), and Donkey King Jr (which used a single board, same size as a Falcon Crazy Kong board). There's also one on Moon Cresta hardware in MAME. Not sure what that board looks like.

Well, a few games have been bootlegged since, but only really popular ones. There's JAMMA based bootleg Ms Pac-Man boards, and the JAMMA pinout didn't even come about until 1985.

Yeah figured wouldn't be much of a market for them now. Just never seen a Blue PCB from way back when. It does look alot like the Nintendo board.

Thanks everyone....
is it possible to use normal DJ jr from nintendo roms in this pcb? And maybe DK? Or does every game have it's own PCB?
