Just curious if anyone here has sold a game on ebay lately? I have not sold one in 4-5 years, back before gas hit $4 a gallon. So I was wondering if it is still worth listing one, and if so, what is shipping costing people these days?

well it's a buyers market. so if you were selling an unrestored ms pac for $900, you should expect to get $225 out of it now. I would always leave shipping up to the buyer to figure out, and state that fact in the auction.

I haven't sold a thing since 2 months before eBay put the "you can't leave buyers bad feedback" into effect. They announced... I stopped selling.

It's scam central these days. I'll buy but I sure as hell won't sell there. I'll stick to forums and my website along with CL.

Ive sold a few but let it be known up front that they were pickup only and payment accepted only at pickup. They didnt bring what they should have, but hell, the market is in the toilet along with everything else

Ive sold a couple but its a last resort. first its here, next CL then ebay. usually no problems.

Ive got some stuff up there right now,not games but i sale projector/audio visual stuff ALOT.

I still sell on eBay. People complain about fees and stuff, but if you consider that you're marketing your product to a nationwide audience, it is still a great method. Try putting a pinky nail sized ad in your local paper, and see what it costs. CL is ok, but you get a lot of yahoos to go with it.

From what I hear: depending on the seller and the product, eBay is now either the first place or the last place to sell a game--for may reasons, including all those stated above.

IMHO: I use eBay and forums to buy games that I want to play; however, I use forums to trade/sell games that I don't want to play. And I enjoy the forum scene a lot more 'causes it's way cooler and way more fun.

Question.

Do the holidays effect what one can get for a game on Ebay?

I assumed that the game value would be higher than at other times of the year if the game is restored.
