Does anyone here own a commercial arcade?

I think that would work ok, although you could probably do fine with 15% 90s games, 25% new games, 55% redemption. Or you could supplement redemption with some other kind of attraction - some places use a bar or laser tag, batting cages or what's starting to really gain traction right now are 3D/4D/5D theater rides. Those make huge money from the numbers I've heard thrown around. But they are very pricey to begin with. Also "Instant Prize redemption" games like BarberCut Lite, KeyMaster, Stacker, Winners Cube, etc. have been growing in popularity as an alternative to straight ticket redemption. But you won't fill an arcade with them.

Thanks. How much do the theater rides make?

An actual arcade sounds like a lot of risk for not much reward. If you really want to make some lunch money with these games you're better off setting up a little arcade route with games at already existing locations.

You won't have to deal with rent or employees, and after splitting the revenue whatever is in your pocket is yours to keep.

It varies but you can charge $3-$5 a person and depending upon how many seats you have (anywhere from 2-24 seats can be found but even 4 seats can be pricey). I've seen figures in some international venues where a 4 seat game made $20k+ a month. As you can change out the films, that helps keep people coming back.

Here's one I find interesting as it's interactive, giving the players a joystick. The trailer is ridiculously cheesy but it shows the machine off well, these run upwards of $100k I believe
