Does anybody own or know much about the Omni Game System? See Pics

One of these came into my shop last night along with all the original purchase paperwork. I've never owned one but from what i can tell, these were a made to order game system with a quick disconnect harness that allowed you to order up to 18 different games from their list. This is what $3400 bought you back in 1982

Well, there's a find that's definitely relevant to my interests - I've got what I think is the big brother model to yours:

(Top photo above is mine as it sits today; bottom photo taken by the person I bought it from.)

Yours is the first cabaret model I've seen, and it looks as though they used the same lower cube section and a very similar control panel for both it and the full cabinet. Interestingly, yours has the game name painted onto the control panel; mine is generic and doesn't mention a game.

Omni is something of an obsession of mine that I've been trying to dig up more info on for some time now:

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=334045 (A few months before buying that one, I was asking for help ID'ing the cabinet from memory)

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=355110 (This is the one I ended up buying)

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=355012 (Someone else asking for help ID'ing the manufacturer badge; they had the same cabinet that's now mine)

https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=382867 (Me looking for more info on the cabinet & manufacturer)

One last image: this is the manufacturer's tag on the back of my machine:

Click here for photo of tag; image is too big to embed.

If there's any chance that you could scan and post the paperwork that came with your cabinet, it would be very much appreciated. I've added in the tags that I set on the other threads to help with finding them in searches; sorry I'm not much more help, but there's not much that I've been able to turn up on the company other than that they were operating out of the City of Orange, California.

Thanks for the info you have dug up and i'll work on scanning the items I have. My panel is screened art and this cabinet was called the magnum-02 and some of the brochures I have show and talk about your cabinet and there's also a cocktail version out there.

Thank you; those will definitely be appreciated! And good to know there's someone else out there with one of these weird beasts.

Re: the cabinet name: interesting that yours is tagged as the Magnum 02; the tag on mine identifies it as the Magnum 01, so I'm guessing that the cocktail version (and I can't even begin to imagine what that would have looked like) may have been the Magnum 03.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you've got in the way of paperwork for Omni (especially the brochures)... That may help to clear up a few things. So far I haven't had any luck finding a verifiable business registration listing for them, but I am poking at it as time permits.

IIRC, these were produced for a chain of theaters.

Not quite - you're thinking of the United Artists' cabinets (shown below). There are some minor visual similarities between the two, but the Omni Games cabinets are completely unrelated to the UA models.
