Howdy!

Is Pursuit a lost game? Can't seem to find too much info on actual gameplay or number of existing cabinets. Seems like it was an early attempt at a first person style shooter.

I would love to see footage of this as well, or know at least one cabinet still exists. That was the first 1st-person shooter that I know of. The flyer states "Barnstorming Bomb Attacks", but the descripton on the back only describes shooting planes.

Pursuit was announced 1974 November at MOA and released in Jan 1975. It was the last Kee Games release before Kee was fully merged into Atari. The (suspect) Atari production numbers spreadsheet from '99 lists 1,045 cabinets made.

I've seen it listed as a "first-person WWI game in which you shoot down enemy planes in your crosshairs." Sound familiar?

Pursuit appears to be labeled as "Pursuit-Missile" in the 1977 DRA price guide under Kee Games. They list the release date as April of 1975 which is pretty close to the information @greedycrisp listed.

Edit: The Spring 1978 publication then lists a game called "Pursuit" under the Atari name, but still has "Pursuit-Missile" under Kee Games.

Interesting, So that would confirm there was a Kee Games version (under the name Pursuit-Missile). I wonder what gameplay differences there are between them. Also, Arcade-History has this 1 page of info about a test card for the Kurz-Kasch test fixture.

I saw Pursuit in an old video. I can't recall if it was a movie or a commercial, but it looked cool.

I know you investigate this stuff. Any idea if Taito's Indian Battle and Space Cruiser cabinets exist? Released state-side?

Most were moved to Europe and some still remain in Japan. The corner braces of my Lupin III cabinet were used with spare wood from Indian Battle haha

So that's your game Lupin? Stealing wood from Indian Battle? Only fitting for a criminal like yourself!
