Does a working Omega Race exist???

WOW! Sometimes forget that these were used to make $$$.
Cool story.

Yeah, the crazy thing was that even the worst game in the world made money for a few weeks so we had no idea that a game sucked until a month or so after we bought it. Just when we thought we had found the next Pac Man or Defender were stuck with yet another pile o poop.

The OP I worked for had 12,000 square feet of storage! When a good kit came out it was a frenzy to find the best cab to install the game into.

I think I was doing 20-30 kits a week for several years.

I loved this game as a kid, but I'd be hard pressed to ever buy one just because of space issues. The cabaret version of this game is sweet, however, but I've never seen one for sale locally. I'd love to get some time on one!!!

Good luck buddy, I tried to repair a horribly acid damaged board and it KICKED MY ASS

lol

I'm going to drag it back out and work on it again down the road a bit.

Yeah I know its not going to be an easy road I have like 4 boards to fix. It's just getting the huge amount of IC's and different chip sockets that's going to make it a pain in the ass. The biggest problem is you have to take everything off at one time that your replacing to do the best job on the acid damage.

marvelous game...GREAT sounds, fun two play mode....the ONLY thing that killed this game was the damn battery....if it was mounted at the BOTTOM of the board (so acid would drip onto the bottom of the cabinet instead of running down the whole length of the board, amny more wouldf exist....I have a near mint cabaret. Todd

Just got this one going. Someone removed the battery long before it leaked so the boards are in perfect shape. Got lucky.

God forbid the company spend the $.30-%.50 and install a REMOTE BATTERY HOLDER, eh?

The corrosion still would have likely worked itself upward and around the board. The Bally MPUs are bad about that. It travels around the big ground trace on the outside.

Mine's working great...my score/skill, however, needs work
