Saw an Arkanoid mini this morning and was wondering if there was a dedicated version although most were sold as kits. The cabinet has an Atari sticker on the back so obviously this was a kit install.

Nothing dedicated as all Arkanoids were conversions (possibly besides some of the countertops although I'm not 100% sure about that). I plan on creating an Ark mini for myself when I come across the right cab for it.

I own this, does it count?

aren't tempest and centipede mini's common arkanoid conversions?
mine is a centipede mini.

im pretty sure Bongoben is right. They were all kits. including the countertop versions.

Agreed. Even though a few people here are under the impression that the countertop's were dedicated, Merit SuperTop's were universal countertop units, mostly filled with Trivia Whiz's, but never issued with anything factory.

As noted on the flyer, Arkanoid was one of a few countertop KITs available to operators for the SuperTop BITD.

I don't see anything on that flyer which suggests some SuperTop's weren't shipped with a game installed, though. It does say, "Pop in any game board", but it also lists game licenses under "Comes complete".

But you might be going off personal knowledge I don't have...
