Dodge City Merit Dip Settings?

BUMP.

Looking for dip switch settings for a Merit video poker board - Dodge City. There's nothing in the KLOV database about them.

I found some information at the (now defunct) Merit website concerning the Merit Rivera board, but I've tested those settings in MAME and they don't act the same way.

I suspect that some of the dip switch settings handle things like:

  • enable/disable auto hold
  • points per coin setting
  • enable/disable double up feature
  • payout percentage adjustments

The MAME driver merit.c mentions something about 75%, 80%, 85%, 90%

MAME version 129u3 mentions this:

- 0.129u3: Added dipswitches 'Number of Attempts', 'Tries Per Coin', 'Coinage', 'Difficulty', 'Sound', 'Clear RAM', 'Service Mode' and 'Unused'.

I have a CRT-200 board and a big block on it that says CRT-209 Part-2131-82. I could also use the DIP settings.

Also, I was reading that this may not have a knock down switch, but the box it all came in looks like it was setup to knockdown but I have no idea how to tell or what I need to do to enable/disable that.

I tried emailing the company but I did not get any reply...

Merit was bought in 2002 and later renamed Megatouch LLC, which went out of business in January 2014, which is why you never got a reply.

Btw, I have a Riviera boardset in a Dodge City cab so I'm guessing they were compatible as far as the wiring. Inside was a hand-written note with some (incomplete) dip switch info:

1 - Stud or Draw ON = Draw OFF = Stud
2 -
3 -
4 - Raise OFF = OFF ON = ON
5 - 1 or 5 credits per coing ON = 5 OFF = 1
6 - Double Up OFF = OFF ON = ON
7 - 20 or 50
8 -
