do your games help resolve domestic squabbles? or just start new ones?

When I get home from work, 9x out of 10 it's right in the middle of my daughter having a meltdown because her brother took one of her toys, messed up what she was working on, hit her in the head, blah blah blah...

My wife will be sitting on the couch, looking like she's about ready to feed my daughter to the Cracken..

In most cases, I can simply walk in the door, and say to my daughter, "I'll bet you can't beat my high score tonight on [game X]", and shortly after, she's out in the garcade battling me on one of the games.

So, that's yet another reason it's great to have these games around. Anyone else able to use their games to resolve domestic issues? Or are you all still only able to create new ones, by bringing more games home? :D

That is not a reason to have the games. That is a reason to have a good relationship with your family. The game has nothing to do with it. You could go play ball with the kids, or go for a walk, or just about anything. The incentive is quality time with YOU, not with the games. The games are immaterial.
