I'm going to be doing some Vinyl and T-molding instl. on a couple cabs. I was wondering what the consensus was. Most cabs I have seen trim the Vinyl allong the edge but I have seen a few that have the vinyl tucked under the T-molding what do you all prefer.Any tips would be appreciated also.Thankyou....Dave

Dave, I have done both. If the vinyl is thin enough, and the adhesive strong enough, I tuck. When it is thicker and the adhesive thin or weak, I trim. The black atari vinyl Rich sells is perfect for tucking. The nintendo vinyl kits he sells like to be trimmed. Tucking them causes a bubble at the top edge.

If you use a heat gun, the tuck method works ok for some vinyls. If you don't heat it, within a couple days or less the vinyl will bubble all along the edges. I trim mine though i've tried the tuck method.

Thanks everyone I did order the black atari vinyl Rich sells but I plan to keep these for allong time so just to be on the safe side I'll probly trim the vinyl. That would suck if it ever let go later down the road. Thanks Guys Dave

Depends on the material. I've trimmed and tucked. The silver 720 vinyl I got from ThisOldGame I folded over the edges. I haven't even installed the t-molding yet and it is holding perfectly with no bubbles, which is incredible in my opinion. It is thinner, slightly stretchy, and stickier than most of the white vinyl sideart I've had. I think the 720 vinyl is very similar (if not exactly the same with exception of the silver paint) as his standard black stuff, so I'd say tuck the black vinyl from Rich.
