So I finaly got my Rampage into my place, out of my friends garage. Only problem is, I measured it wrong by 1/2 of an inch. So I can't get it into the arcade room. Thinking about taking the door molding off.

But for now its in the kitchen. I dont think the blankets going to hide it well enough.

You can take a door off in all of 2 minutes (pop the pins).

I'd do it before the wifely unit arrives to save on the heartache.

:D

Yup, and the door stop trim. Quick and easy. Just score the trim with a putty knife so the paint doesn't peel and breaks clean. Then, slip the putty knife under and just pry the trim up.

She'll never notice that's Ninja level stealth right there. :p Congrats on the pickup though. ^^

Plan on buying more games? If so, might want to take the opportunity to widen that bad boy. Any way to get it through the window (with help of course)... might be the path of least resistance.

I still have a few more cabinets to come. Xmen and Tetris are still at another friends. Xmen should be fine as long as I take off the control panel. I had to cancel a T2 purchase as it wont fit at the bottom of the stairwell. Yes all of these are going to the 3rd floor and never being moved again. I have amazing friends who get a lot of free food and beer.

You might want to double check that Xmen... I can't see how a 19" cab (Rampage) wouldnt' fit but a 25" cab (Xmen) would....

The Rampage is 29 1/2 inchs aprox. wide with a 19" monitor. The Xmen is 27 1/2 inchs or so with a 25 inch monitor. The control panel makes it like 37 inch almost.

And for anyone that asks, yes I like my muffins with my lego......

That 3rd floor have a window? I seem to recall reading a thread where a guy was hoisting his games up to a 2nd story.

The other option would be to switch out the living room with the arcade room. Muahahaha. Then I could have more games. Don't see that happening. But on the other hand the wife did get home and I did call her to let her know what was going on.

Her words:

I'm not sure either to laugh or be up set. Then proceeded to ask how she was going to make popcorn if she couldn't reach the microwave.

So I figure I move the microwave and all is fixed. Right?

Microwave?

Psshaw. Popcorn kernals + pot + stove = yummy popcorn. Tell her a woman's place is in front of the stove and not the microwave!

Lay the game on its face, drape a tablecloth over it and serve your wife a nice candle lit dinner on the new kitchen table you so lovingly purchased. She'll be so smitten with love and appreciation that she won't even notice. If this doesn't work, kindly remind her that you're temporarily exercising your 50% rule in the relationship and you'll have it out of the kitchen when you're damn good and ready or when proper house modifications have been made, whatever comes first.

I've done it. Get 4-6 guys,2 sets of ratchet straps, an aluminum pole about 8 ft long and a plastic Christmas tree stand. Just remove the monitors first.
