Do you tell your "significant other" when you're getting games?

Parking space? Why does your wife have a car? There are no roads between the kitchen and the bedroom. :p

stop! That one hurt!.....................................my stomach that is. :)

Nope,my wife sometimes doesnt notice I have something new in the gameroom for weeks. She doesnt really care anyway, she just says oh when did you get that....

the single life is so fun :). no wife, no kids... just fun, toys and games lol

some of my other buddies are married. mostly the guys i know from the car shows and clubs. they buy old cars and parts like we do games. most of the stress either comes from not being allowed out cause the weekends and after work is family time, they dont want more crap laying around, or the biggest hindrence is when she controlls the bank accoung and keeps an eye on all the money going in and out so they either have to sneak any big non-family purchases or beg for premission. i hate seeing my buddies whos wives dont even work have to do that. no wonder im scared of commitment lol

Don't be scared you just have to find one that if you stuck a lump of coal up her butt, in two weeks you wouldn't have a diamond. Go Ferris!

I quit asking after the 5-6 one. I filled the whole garage, this past winter with projects. I won't do that again though. Other than that, I will do what I want with games, as long as it doesn't effect our normal bills. She has figured out to let ME be ME. Pretty awesome I think.

Some of these answers are hilarious.

I always tell my wife when a game is coming home. There are never any issues.

I traded my wife for work, which in turn, traded for money to buy a few games. then, traded some games to get others.

So in a sense, I traded my wife for games. Good deal I think....:D

The GF could care less. I really think the games will be working and in better shape then they are in another 20 years.

I always tell my wife about a new game. Unfortunately we are out of room and I am pretty much finished. The Megatouch EVO got me a three game extension but that was it. The only thing I'm really allowed is a slot machine and a pinball. I always told her in the past when I brought one home and there were never any issues.

Short answer is no. I have found that the more games I have the less she notices when a new one arrives. Sometimes have to move them in under the cover of darkness, but the tough part is that my daughter usually rats me out.

I don't ask permission. She always knows when something is up because she knows me. We've been married 30 years this year.

She used to always go on the road trips with me to pick up a new game and misses being able to do that since we have two young kids now.

Our biggest concern now is space and amperage! We're out of both in the game room with over 40 games in there. That's a good problem to have....I think?

She's not really into the videos that much - she prefers pins but the best thing I ever got that got her out to the gameroom was a jukebox. Now we have 2 of them and she loves them.

My wife's definitely a keeper!

Looks like you will have to bribe your daughter now.

Man, I have tried- brought her home a Turbo cabaret the other day and our first pin about 2 months ago, but she still wants to go tell mom. Although I don't think she said anything about Turbo now that I think about it.

I'm very supportive of my wife when it comes to her going on girls weekend out trips. However, whenever one of those girls weekend out trips occurs, a new game seems to find it's way into my basement arcade! It's an amazing coincidence ;-) She and some girls from the 'hood are going to the Bahamas in a few weeks. I'm already scheduled to pick up a Galaxian that weekend, imagine that. Hell, I might go for broke and visit Lloyd's Coinop Warehouse that Friday to boot. I wholeheartedly subscribe to the theory that once you surpass just having a few games, she simply can not keep track of them all!

Sometimes I tell her. Sometimes I don't. It really doesn't matter either way because the outcome is going to be the same.

I wouldn't be with someone who wasn't supportive of what I want to do. No matter what that is. And I give the same respect back.

LMAO! That's what I do! My wife left for a conference Sunday at 11:30 and by 12:30 I was on my way to pick up a game. I would've left sooner, but I think the 1 hour rule is good, because I don't want to pass her in route to get it.

Classic! Blame some of the acquisitions on the child! Brilliant! I have a son on the way!

Plus you're super concerned about exactly when she's leaving and coming home and she's all....awwwww he's gonna miss me! And you probably will miss her. If you get busted you can always say the new game was your way to cope with her being gone.
