Do you know what this is?

Dave,

Makes me happy to see these being made and happier that I dont own any of them LOL... I would go broke!

Blank replacement metal Williams control panels. The wood ones are easy to work with (bondo the hell of it and redrill), but a brand new blank metal one would be much easier to work with in a lot of ways. I have the hole punches. Just need the metal CP.

BZ is on my list, too.

I put it on the backburner because nobody has been asking about it for some time now. If it's in demand, I see no problem adding it to the current lineup. It's a very simple control panel design. By chance, has anyone already vectorized the artwork for the CP? It would shave off a few days of my time if it was readily available to me.

Thanks

Dave

Damn those look pretty

A screened BZ control panel would be sweet too!

And here's my Battlezone control panel.

I still need to draw up the artwork for it, though. Anyone want to help with that? I'm tired of using AI right now. LOL

Dave

I can't believe no one has brought up the fact that many of us are in need of the Multi Williams Joust/Robotron style CP's. And the market is dead dry for MW CP overlays (excluding Arcadeshops version which IMHO is crappy). If you've ever planned on listening to me listen now heh ;)

not a bad idea, but MM control panel has already been produced and is available. Billybob has a nice looking multiwilliams cpo. Arcadeshop has the MW panel, but out of stock.. If you had the specs from billybobs cpo, you'd have the layout too.

There was quite the talk for awhile about how certain MW CP overlays made odd work of using the hyperspace button on Defender. I don't want to point fingers nor do I clearly remeber who's rendition had the problem. I don't hear of anyone complaining about the placement for the overlays Darin put out. Maybe you could get someone to loan you their artwork or could create a template for you? Maybe a thread getting the current or previous MW owners to chime in. Other than wanting and needing the overlay and panel I have nothing else to input :(

For the System I CPs, I probably have one I can loan you Dave. The MW is being done by AS, just a matter of time. I do have a blank you can borrow, Dave, but not sure you want to do that...

That was why I was suggesting blank (i.e. no holes) Williams Control Panels. There appear to be a plethora (I just love that word :D) of incompatible Multi-Williams overlays out there. You could go broke just stocking one of each kind. Blanks would also then be available to replace swiss cheese & bondo for standard Williams games (Joust, Robotron, Stargate in one size, Moon Patrol, Sinistar, Blaster in the slimmer size).

I whole heartedly agree with you Ken! If it's blank then a person can use what ever CP overlay they choose including original overlays. I guess I was short sited. Of course there's always the people that don't have the hardware to punch the holes either.

If you can screen onto the panels, there is a demand for Berzerk panels. A run was done a while ago but now you can't find them. When they come up on eBay, they go for a lot of money.

Hi Dave

Love the work

I am actually after a Battlezone CPO, and so is a friend of mine too.
Also after the Lunar lander CPO too

Is it on your to do list?

Hoping for a full wrap version of each, not sure is that's an option, if not, thats cool.

Had to jump on to this thread, nice one!

I don't have plans to make BZ or LL CPO's. Rather, I intend to reproduce the panels and apply the screen print artwork directly to the panels, just like the originals.

I try to keep my reproduction parts as close to original whenever possible. In this case, making a CPO for either of these items is way off the reservation. BTW, I thought Archer was going to make another run of Lunar Lander CPO's - you might want to check into that.

Dave

I will have to reserve a full CP complete from you then, please, if possible (for LL)
